XR-UAT is an innovative academic initiative at the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAMRA) that integrates Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) into the learning processes of degrees like Chemical Engineering and QFB.

While VR headsets provide the most immersive experience for our virtual labs, many of our Augmented Reality (AR) and 3D models are designed to be accessible via standard smartphones, tablets, and personal computers.

Currently, the project is driven by students and faculty from the UAM Reynosa Aztlán. However, we are actively looking to expand our reach and welcome academic or industrial partnerships. Check our "Contact Us" section for partnership inquiries.

Extended Reality allows students to visualize complex molecular structures, simulate hazardous chemical reactions safely, and practice lab protocols in a risk-free, highly controlled virtual environment, reducing material costs and improving retention.
